Make $10,000 an hour either way
If you build your brand and have a good following, making big money will not be an issue.
Today I interviewed Joe Malone on Now Tell Us podcast. As a norm, we usually meet with guests some minutes before streaming the episode for preparation and after the show we can always have a chat to review it, connect more or do anything that can come up between both of us. Quite a lot has happened during these before and after sessions. I am confident that I’ll share much more in future, about significant things that come from these segments.
As of today, after the streaming, just before signing off, I asked Joe the possibility of bringing John Assaraf on my podcast because I had seen that he had interviewed him on his own podcast. To this request, he reflected that this is a possibility but that I should be ready to pay John around $10,000. According to Joe, that’s what he asks for, to appear for an hour on someone's podcast. You see, John has built a name/brand and he has the following.
This reminded me that I have a snapshot somewhere of Jack Canfield's fees for guests appearing on his own podcast. Eight grand for a one hour episode.
This is evident that once you’ve built a brand and a following, you win from all directions. John charges people who call him to their podcast and Jack charges people who come on his podcast. So whether you are the guest of the host, if you are a known brand, money and good money at that, has the potential to flow your direction either way.
Therefore build a brand and a following. The rest will be history as they say.
