Speak Your Thoughts
Sometimes opportunities stand before you disguised. Ask for it if you think it's an opportunity.
Today I booked my flight to Sweden. Few months ago, I was given the opportunity to be a co-MC to my former high school mate at a gospel concert happening next weekend.
How did I get this opportunity?
John’s gift and passion is connecting people of value. Ain’t we all people of value? Anyway, connecting people that are making a significant impact in society far and wide. He had previously connected me with Esther who organises events. I could interview her on my podcast and she would invite me for a personal development event she’s contemplating organising towards the end of 2024. She had mentioned this forthcoming concert but since I am not a singer - Sorry! I sing but in the bathroom. Sometimes I’ve sung on Tiktok but even though at times I’ve fantasized myself as an accomplished musician, I’ve never thrown all my weight into making it a reality. It comes and goes.
Anyway, after the discussion, we kind of forgot. Only to see a banner online that John will be the MC of this gospel concert. What did I do?
A few days after this banner first appeared, an idea hit my mind. Don’t events have two MCs at times? Yes they do. I reached out to John and asked him whether he would need any help EMCeeing. I’ve done that before on several occasions. John was excited about the idea for several reasons. Maybe I’ll share the reasons at a later date.
To cut a long story short, if it is God's will, next Saturday I will be on stage introducing musicians and preachers to come on stage to perform.
