Yes! I Won

You lose every game that you don't play. Winning is intentional.

The year was 2013. It was in Athens Greece.

I had participated in an interclub Toastmasters Speech Contest. Out of the many participants in the contest, I came out first. My speech was titled “Yes I Can”.

2013 is quite a while back. Why haven’t I won another trophy?

Because I have not participated in another speech contest ever since. Actually, shortly after the contest, my schedule changed and I could not attend the weekly meetings anymore.

The message is, you can never win what you have not participated in. For every game not played, the score remains 0-0.

When you want a job, you search for it and apply. Then you are hired. Maybe not with the first application but eventually it happens.

The reason that I have not won is because I haven’t played.

The reason that at this point I don’t have a full calendar of speaking engagements is because I have not been vibrant in securing those gigs consistently. Can I?

Yes I Can.

In order to win and win big, I’ve got to play big and be consistent.
